Description

1909-D Quarter, MS67
One of the Five Finest-Known Coins

1909-D 25C MS67 PCGS. A slender ring of forest-green and fire-orange patina around this otherwise brilliant Superb Gem quarter favorably influences the eye appeal. The stars are mostly complete, save for numbers 2 and 3. Most impressive is the detail on Liberty's forecurls and the right shield/wing area. Mint luster is distinctly satiny. Among the finest survivors from a mintage of 5.1 million coins. Population: 4 in 67, 0 finer (3/18).(Registry values: N4719)
