Exquisite Proof "Royal Wedding" 100 Francs
Leopold I gold Proof "Royal Wedding" 100 Francs 1853 PR62 Cameo
PCGS, Brussels mint, KM-XM3.1, Fr-409, Dupriez-538 (R1). Hyphen
between dates variety. Mintage: 482. By L. Wiener. Struck to
commemorate the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Brabant. A
wholly enchanting single-year type produced for and distributed at
the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Brabant. Executed to
painstaking calculation, with each portrait sensitively rendered
and fully struck-up, the full frost effect of the raised devices
lends perfectly to the added depth within the reflective pools
beneath. An appealing harvest tone amplifies the aesthetic caliber
of the piece at hand, and with so few Proofs and Specimens extant
within the certified population reports, we expect no shortage of
