Near-Mint State Belgian Commemorative Gold Rarity

Leopold I gold "Royal Wedding" 100 Francs 1853 AU58 NGC, Brussels mint, KM-XM3.1, Fr-409, Dupriez-529 (R3), Bogaert-535B2 (R3). Hyphen between dates variety. Mintage: 482. By L. Wiener. Struck to commemorate the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Brabant. A visually refined and exceedingly close to uncirculated selection of this fleeting commemorative type, and one which reveals hardly a trace of actual wear across sharply chiseled devices. Indeed, the only feature of the surfaces that appears to cap the grade designation is the presence of shallow contact friction throughout the fields, with all major details across the King and royal couple's hair and finer features appearing fully intact, save for the barest evidence of cabinet rub. Lustrous and flashy, this golden rarity should impress any bidder seeking a quality example.
