Description

Leopold I gold Specimen "Royal Wedding" 100 Francs 1853 SP63 NGC, Brussels mint, KM-XM3.1, Fr-409. Hyphen between dates variety. Mintage: 482. Struck to commemorate the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Brabant, the offering at hand ranks in the uppermost echelons of quality yet certified for this conditionally rare type, of which no other examples currently seen by NGC rank finer. Sharply sculpted devices, coated in golden frost, contrast cleanly against the surrounding fields, these highly mirrored and graced with just a hint of silver tone, sufficient to confirm a degree of originality that only renders this scarce offering that much more desirable.

Metal: Gold
Diameter: 37mm
