Choice Wedding Commemorative 100 Francs
Leopold I gold Specimen "Royal Wedding" 100 Francs 1853 SP63
NGC, Brussels mint, KM-XM3.1, Fr-409, Dupriez-529 (R3). Hyphen
between dates variety. Mintage: 482. Struck to commemorate the
marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Brabant. Produced to pinpoint
precision, with an astounding degree of flashy brilliance embracing
bold features graced with golden mint frost. Only minor handling
wisps are noted to the fields, aside from a single short mark to
the immediate right of Leopold's bust. Rarely is this low-mintage
type seen so well-preserved, and its "SP63" grade designation
places it firmly in a tied position for the finest Specimen-graded
issue yet seen by NGC.Metal: Gold
