1739 Admiral Vernon Medal, Porto Bello, Adams-PBv-17-O, R.7 -- Environmental Damage -- NGC Details. VF. Ex: Admiral Vernon Collection. Copper alloy. 38 mm. This variety is rarer than 17-N, which shares the obverse die. Some exist in base silver, but most are in the familiar copper-based alloy. NGC notes environmental damage, which is significant, and the deep walnut-brown surfaces are uniform in their patina. Very well detailed for the VF level.Auction Info
