1739 Admiral Vernon Medal, Porto Bello, Adams-PBvi-14-R, R.7 -- Environmental Damage -- NGC Details. VF. Ex: Admiral Vernon Collection. Copper alloy. British misspelled as "Britis." A scarce variety, since the obverse die may have been quickly removed from service. Vernon's legs are short to fit the small 26.5 mm diameter. Considerable wear and scattered corrosion do not significantly impact the desirability of this rare example that offers pleasing VF sharpness.Auction Info
