1739 Admiral Vernon Medal, Porto Bello, Adams-PBvi-17-Z, R.6 -- Obverse Graffiti-- NGC Details. VF. Ex: Admiral Vernon Collection. Copper alloy. 37.5 mm. Similar in scarcity to 17-Y, this 17-Z medal with VF sharpness lacks most of the edge dentils that frame higher-grade examples. Some engraved obverse graffiti prevents NGC from granting a numeric grade. A Y-shaped obverse planchet fissure near the baton and another from the edge to above the ship's mast are as struck.Auction Info
