    1741 Admiral Vernon Cartagena Medal MS63 NGC. Betts-329, Adams-Chao-CAvl-2-D, R.6. AE. A high-grade example of this very scarce Vernon die variety. Obverse: Vernon triumphant over Don Blass, who presents his sword. Reverse: port view of Cartagena. The protected areas are olive-gold while the open fields are toned gray. Devoid of marks although the occasional inconsequential spot is noted.
