Possibly Unique 1805 Five-Dollars Restrike in White Metal

1805 Half Eagle, Judd-38, Pollock-6120, R.8?, MS 63 NGC. A privately made restrike made from rusted and broken dies, struck in white metal with a plain edge. Presumably this is the piece once owned by Virgil M. Brand, and sold years after his death in a New Netherlands sale from September, 1953. One of the more desirable fantasy pieces struck from discarded dies, given even more legitimacy by Dr. Judd's listing, and quite possibly unique.
    Ex: Shahbabian Sale (B & M, 1/96), lot 2389. (PCGS# 60038)
