Extremely Rare 1839 Pattern Half Dollar

1839 Half Dollar, Judd-95 Original, Pollock-103, R.8, PR 65 PCGS. Half dollar pattern with a design similar to that of Christian Gobrecht, but facing right. The reverse is very similar to the adopted design of 1839-42. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Deep, iridescently toned surfaces with illimitible depth of mirrored reflectivity in the fields. A splendid example of this very rare pattern.
