    Description

    1866 Five-Cents, Judd-509, Pollock-592, R.6, PR 62 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse is the shield design used to coin regular issue 1866 nickels, the reverse is the regular issue type without rays that was adopted in 1867. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. Subdued red and brown color, on the reverse there are several stains of unknown origin.
