    Description

1871 Standard Silver Quarter Pattern In Copper, Judd-1097

1871 Standard Silver Quarter, Judd-1097, Pollock-1233, R.7, PR 64 Brown NGC. The Longacre Seated design that features an Indian princess representing Liberty, hand resting on a globe, the other hand holds a Liberty pole with cap on top, and flags behind. The reverse has 25 CENTS as the central device, surrounded by a wreath of cotton and corn, and the word STANDARD at the top of that side. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Problem-free and showing razor-sharp definition, the only fault we can find is that the color might be a bit too dark for some tastes, being a uniform, deep brown over each side. (PCGS# 61097)
