    Description

    Desirable 1873 Trade Dollar, Judd-1310, PR 65

1873 Trade Dollar, Judd-1310, Pollock-1453, R.4, PR 65 PCGS. A Trade dollar design that shows Liberty seated on the obverse with an Indian headdress on top of her head, Liberty pole and cap in her right hand, left hand resting on a globe, and conjoined flags behind. The reverse has a small eagle in the upper half with most of the statutory legends above and below, two of which are on scrolls. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The surfaces here are well mirrored on the obverse, but exhibit countless die striations in the reverse fields, similar to early die usage commercial strikings. Both sides are highlighted in reddish-gold and bright blue iridescence, though the color is more peripherally oriented on the reverse. (NGC ID# 2A2M, PCGS# 61310)
