Brilliant Example of the Scarce Judd-1423 Commercial Dollar Pattern

1875 Commercial Dollar, Judd-1423, Pollock-1566, R.7, PR 63 NGC. Commercial dollar pattern that on the obverse shows Liberty seated by the sea, left hand resting on a globe, conjoined flags behind, right hand holding an olive branch aloft, with a ship in the background. The reverse is more plainly laid out with COMMERCIAL DOLLAR/420 GRS/900 FINE in the center, surrounded by an olive wreath with GOD OUR TRUST on a scroll at the bottom, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA at the top of that side. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. A brilliant and flashy pattern with deeply reflective fields, but little in the way of contrast from the devices.

We also followed the bidding online yesterday here in Salt Lake for the other 3 coins - great fun. Prices realized met or exceeded our expectations.
