Description
Nicely Toned Gem 1882 Five-Cent Pattern, Judd-1684
1882 Five-Cents, Judd-1684, Pollock-1886, R.6, PR 65 PCGS. The central device on the obverse closely resembles the adopted head of Liberty on the nickel of 1883, date below, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the margin. The reverse has a large Roman numeral V in the center, surrounded by a wreath of cotton and corn, with E PLURIBUS UNUM at the top. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. Only moderately reflective in the fields, the surfaces show a light gray patina overall with attractive underlying iridescence.
