    Description

    Set of Three Cent Silvers. This set is mostly brilliant and of mixed quality, with most coins Uncirculated or proof. Includes:
    1851 MS 65. Essentially brilliant with satiny luster.
    1851-O MS 64. Lustrous with traces of light toning. A small abrasion on the right reverse rim accounts for the grade.
    1852 MS 63. A bright coin that shows traces of clash marks and die cracks on each side.
    1853 MS 65. A lightly toned gem that has the usual die clash marks on each side.
    1854 AU 50. A well struck example that shows only light wear. Three small abrasions are noted on the obverse.
    1855 MS 64. Lustrous, but a bit softly struck on the obverse legend and the stars on the reverse.
    1856 MS 63. Die clash marks and die polish marks are visible on each side.
    1857 MS 62. Lustrous and lightly toned with a small luster graze above the 1 in the date.
    1858 AU 58. Mostly brilliant with slight wear.
    1859 AU 58. Prooflike with a full strike and untoned surfaces.
    1860 AU 50. Well struck with only a handful of small abrasions.
    1861 MS 65. Fully struck with mostly brilliant surfaces.
    1862 MS 60. Well struck. Three alloy spots are noted on the obverse.
    1863 PR 63. Well mirrored fields that are slightly grainy.
    1864 PR 64. A brilliant near-gem with only a few pinpoint size abrasions on each side.
    1865 AU 55. Strong die clash marks are visible on each side.
    1866 MS 64. Satiny with light peripheral toning. A small scratch on the reverse accounts for the grade.
    1867 PR 62. Mostly brilliant with a small patch of toning on each side.
    1868 AU 55. Sharply struck with light peripheral toning.
    1860 PR 60 Cleaned. This coin's light cleaning did little to spoil its attractive surfaces.
    1870 MS 62. Lightly toned with strong details.
    1871 PR 60. Brilliant with just a few wispy hairlines on each side.
    1872 PR 63. Brilliant with deeply mirrored fields.
    1873 PR 63. An attractive, lightly toned example of this proof-only issue.
