Worchester: Isaiah Thomas, 1797. 4to, original brown calf; red spine label; title handwritten in gilt. 516 pages. Pike sent a copy of his book to George Washington, who wrote to the author, saying "Your performance is of the most useful and beneficial kind.." Pike also sent a coin, possibly the 1792 Washington President in gold, to Washington. Evans 32692. Joints weak; very good or so.
