    1855 C-1 Half Cent
    PR63 Red and Brown

    1855 1/2 C PR63 Red and Brown PCGS. C-1, B-1, R.5 as a proof. An intricately struck Select proof. The obverse is principally orange-red though the high points are steel-gray. The reverse has a plum-mauve center and a sea-green border. A lens reveals infrequent minor spots. The only 1855 die pair, also used to coin the business issue. Our EAC grade PR60.
