1856 Half Cent, PR64 Brown
Very Rare Breen-1 Variety
1856 1/2 C PR64 Brown PCGS. B-1, R.7. Large die lump on the
I of UNITED. Most proof 1856 half cents are from a different
reverse die (B-3) with doubling on CENT and the ribbon. The present
sharply struck specimen has excellent eye appeal. The obverse
displays substantial faded red along with blushes of olive-brown.
The reverse is lime-green with occasional hints of cobalt-blue and
lavender. Our EAC grade PR60.From The Teich Family Collection.(Registry values: P1)
