João IV Counterstamped 480 Reis ND (1643) Fine Details (Damaged) NGC, KM4, LMB-008. 28.10gm. Type I crowned "480" countermark (XF Standard), struck on an earlier Spanish colonial Cob 8 Reales. The host coin bears only faint identifiable details as this coin must have been heavily circulated prior to the application of the countermark.From the Vila Rica Collection
