Description

João Prince Regent 960 Reis 1810-M AU53 NGC, Minas Gerais mint, KM307.2, LMB-438. An attractive specimen, marred only by scant traces of handling and showcasing fleeting touches of cornflower-blue and apricot patination. Firmly struck over a Charles III "Pillar" 8 Reales, it highlights prominent remaining features of the host coin. Tied for the second finest at NGC, bested only by a single AU55, this handsome survivor of the two-year type boasts well-struck motifs, a bold 'M' mint mark, and the characteristic die-crack on the obverse.
