Joao VI Prince Regent gold Ingot of Vila Rica 1814, Prober #1814-V-1290. 26.3 grams. Assayer ADS.

Prober's reference to this interesting ingot dates back to 1940 when it was illustrated in an article by numismatist Hermann Porcher. The countermark of the Vila Rica Foundry the Portuguese royal shield with the letters "V.R."
