Jose I gold 3200 Reis 1772-R MS63 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM183.2, Fr-66, LMB-417. Stunning for the issue, with scintillating flares of golden luster traveling the fields, indicating a quality that is seldom, if ever, seen for the type and date. The centrally positioned strike results in pleasing rims of uniform width bordering the central regions, which hold devices that are admirably sculpted, revealing only isolated and trivial areas of softness.
