Maria I & Pedro III gold 3200 Reis 1780-B, KM150, Russo-475, Gomes-26.01, MS62 NGC. Lustrous with mirror surfaces on the reverse. Very choice. Small adjustment marks across the bust.

Of the many numismatic achievements of Dr. Monteiro, one of our favorites is a date run (!) of six Maria and Pedro 3200 Reis or Meia Peca of the Bahia Mint, three AU pieces and this mint state specimen. A collector would be categorized as "advanced" by simply having a single 3200 Reis let alone by type. Dr. Monteiro over the decades was able to put together a 1780 - 1785 "Set".
