Pedro II gold 4000 Reis 1695-(B) AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, Bahia mint, KM86, LMB-20. A scarce and desirable issue, the first minted by Portugal in its American colony at the Bahia mint and opened just the year prior. Pale-gold in appearance and exhibiting details synonymous with near Mint State levels of preservation, and imbued with scant hairlines from an old cleaning.
