Description

Pedro II gold 4000 Reis 1700 7/6-(R) AU Details (Repaired) NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM98, LMB-32d, Guimaraes-1700-12a. Third type. Date between dots and "PORTVG." variety. Showcasing boldly-rendered motifs and dressed in an old mustard tone, a later variety struck with both Rio dies. Though Guimaraes didn't mention if these particular dies were re-engraved as other varieties of the date, what seems to be a 6 under the 7 indicates a 1700/699 overdate.
