Description

Pedro II silver pattern 1000 Reis 1867, KMPn131, Choice Unc, toned. Extremely elusive pattern from the Brazilian empire. The 1000 Reis of this type was actually last struck in 1866 with the bust of Pedro II included on the coins which were struck from 1868 on. It is quite interesting then, that the Brazilian mint would strike a pattern after the series was over.
