Description

George V silver Specimen 2 Shilling 1913-H SP67 NGC, Heaton mint, FT2 var. (unlisted as specimen), KM13 var. (same). A simply stunning specimen, albeit with a somewhat uneven tone. The Arielle Collection specimen was graded an impressive SP65 by PCGS and hammered at 1,200 GBP ($1,928 at the time), which still pales in comparison to this monstrous coin. A coin of this size, and over a century old, is extremely difficult to find in a grade as high as 67 and yet here we are. Likely one of just four known examples, and almost certainly the finest of them all.
