    Description

1913-D 5C Type Two MS66+ NGC. Beautiful matte luster and intricate sharpness on this Type Two 1913-D Buffalo nickel gives it the appearance of a proof, compounded by the fact that there is no die erosion in the fields, and the rims are mostly squared. Preventing the conclusion of this piece as a branch mint proof are a few hair-thin die cracks at the central obverse and just a hint of strike weakness on the bison's shoulder. Both sides have uniform olive-gold toning and are devoid of abrasions. Census: 17 in 66 (3 in 66+), 10 finer (10/19).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22R2, PCGS# 3922)

    Weight: 5.00 grams
