1913-D Type Two Buffalo Nickel, MS67
    Fully Struck and Stunning

1913-D 5C Type Two MS67 PCGS. CAC. The 1913-D and 1913-S Type Two Buffalo nickels are far more conditionally challenging, grade for grade, than their Type One counterparts. In Superb Gem PCGS grade, for example, the 1913-D and 1913-S Type One show 53 and 19 submissions, respectively, compared to 11 and three for the Type Twos. This piece is one of those 11 at PCGS, and none are finer (7/13). The surfaces are silver-gray and free of patina, and we would say this piece boasts a full strike front and back, with surfaces that are incredibly eye-appealing. Contact marks are extremely minor. The reverse is rotated about 45 degrees counterclockwise with respect to the obverse. A stunning coin for the issue.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 22R2, PCGS# 3922)
