Description

Attractive 1917-D Gem Nickel

1917-D 5C MS65 PCGS. A medley of yellow-gold, violet, ice-blue, and lime-green bathes the obverse of this Gem D-mint while the same color palette is dominated by violet on the reverse. Except for weakness in the hair above the bison's forehead, the design elements are better impressed than usually seen. We hasten to mention that the horn is sharp. Lustrous surfaces are well preserved. Difficult to locate any finer.(Registry values: N2998)
