Description
Desirable 1918/7-D Buffalo Nickel, VF25
1918/7-D 5C VF25 PCGS. FS-016.5. Lange (2006) writes that "the 1918/7-D overdate certainly rivals the 1916 DDO and 1937-D 3-leg nickel for the title of most popular and highly sought variety in the series." Despite wear associated with the VF25 grade, the overdate on this piece is clear even to the unaided eye. The remainder of the details are boldly outlined as well. Light gray patina covers both sides of this minimally marked representative. (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 3939, GSID# 3115)
