Description

Select 1918-S Buffalo Nickel

1918-S 5C MS63 PCGS. As is typical of the 1918-S Buffalo nickel, the strike on this piece is uneven. The bison's horn is well detailed, but the leg and shoulder are softly defined. Likewise, the peripheral detail on the obverse is sharp, but there is softness evident on the central hair details. Light gold and ice-blue toning is attractively displayed on the reverse, while the obverse remains brilliant, with satiny luster.(Registry values: N1793)
