Description

1918-S Nickel, MS64
Scarce in High Grades

1918-S 5C MS64 PCGS. Bright quicksilver luster appears under a layer of patina that ranges from sky-blue to gold-green and olive-bronze. The strike is soft at the inner portrait and the bison's shoulder, but the horn is complete. This deceptively challenging San Francisco nickel issue is a condition rarity any better; PCGS has certified 38 coins as MS65 or finer (2/16).
