Important 1918-S Nickel, MS 64
1918-S 5C MS 64 NGC. Poor striking quality bars most Mint State survivors of this S-mint issue from grades above the Select level. This coin is not fully defined over the highpoints, but the overall appearance is relatively bold. There is a nice endowment of satin luster beneath the medium orange-gray patina that overlays both sides. The number of small abrasions is typically minimal for the grade.
