Attractive 1919-S Five Cent, MS64
1919-S 5C MS64 NGC. Fully defined 1919-S nickels are nearly unknown, they being one of the great strike challenges of the Buffalo nickel series. This near-Gem displays weakness in the outer parts of LIBERTY and on the hair of the bison's head. The remaining elements actually reveal rather good detail. Light gray patina accented with lavender and yellow-green bathes the lustrous surfaces that have been well cared for.
