Description

1920-D Buffalo Nickel, MS65+
Vibrant Rainbow Toning, CAC

1920-D 5C MS65+ PCGS. CAC. With Denver striking 9.4 million nickels in 1920, the Treasury elected to delay further issues until 1924. The 1920-D saw extended use during this period, and today Uncirculated pieces are elusive for such a hefty mintage. This Plus-graded Gem survives with outstanding eye appeal, displaying iridescent hues of lavender, amber and ice blue. The strike is sharp for a 1920-D, and PCGS shows just 10 numerically finer pieces (11/25).(Registry values: N2998)
