Description
1920-D Nickel, Well-Struck MS65+
Few Finer Examples Known
1920-D 5C MS65+ PCGS. Due to its typically weak strike and
lackluster surfaces, the 1920-D is seldom seen in MS65 and rarely
finer. This high-end Gem is unusually pleasing, with satiny
champagne-tinted luster and unabraded surfaces. Slight weakness on
the central high points and the bison's head is not to the extent
seen on many other Uncirculated 1920-D nickels. Population: 79 in
65 (4 in 65+), 4 finer (8/16).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RR, PCGS# 3945, Greysheet# 3120)
Weight: 5.00 grams
Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
