1920-D Buffalo Nickel, MS65+
Few Seen Finer
1920-D 5C MS65+ PCGS. Satiny luster yields light champagne
and lilac toning on this Plus-designated Gem. The coin is well
struck in the centers but not quite full on the bison's shoulder.
The bison's head and the tips of the Indian's headdress feathers
are somewhat weak. Minimal die erosion is present, and the coin
displays good eye appeal for the date. Finer 1920-D coins are
notable rarities. Population: 59 in 65+, 9 finer (3/25).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RR, PCGS# 3945, Greysheet# 3120)
