Description
Important 1920-D Nickel, MS65
1920-D 5C MS65 PCGS. Ex: ADM Collection. The 1920-D continues the difficulty with strike that began with the 1918-D and continued through most of the 1920s. Otherwise, it is a median rarity in the series with more than 9 million pieces produced. The surfaces on this piece are bright and satiny with a hard, metallic sheen. An untoned example, the obverse is sharply defined but the reverse displays localized weakness over the bison's head. Population: 46 in 65, 1 finer (8/07).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RR, PCGS# 3945, GSID# 3120)
