Description

Appealing 1920-S Buffalo Nickel, MS64

1920-S 5C MS64 NGC. David Lange, in his The Complete Guide to Buffalo Nickels, calls this date in Mint State "among the scarcest coins in the series." The present near-Gem specimen has beautiful deep greenish-gold patination that evenly coats both sides. The strike is somewhat weak on the Indian's braid and the highpoints of the buffalo, but the overall eye appeal is quite high.
