Appealing 1920-S Buffalo Nickel, MS64
1920-S 5C MS64 NGC. David Lange, in his The Complete Guide to Buffalo Nickels, calls this date in Mint State "among the scarcest coins in the series." The present near-Gem specimen has beautiful deep greenish-gold patination that evenly coats both sides. The strike is somewhat weak on the Indian's braid and the highpoints of the buffalo, but the overall eye appeal is quite high.From The S.G. Griffin Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
