    Description

    1920-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
    Condition Rarity in the Series

1920-S 5C MS65 NGC. Despite a mintage of nearly 9.7 million pieces, the 1920-S nickel is a great condition rarity at the Gem level and virtually unavailable any finer. For the most part, this issue was poorly produced and little-saved, making attractive examples a tiny minority. This luminous example offers rich green-gold, tan, and magenta hues draping both sides. The devices are soft on the high points but far better-defined than the norm. The holder permits examination of the edge, which shows beveling in places, particularly at the upper obverse. Census: 15 in 65 (1 in 65 ), 3 finer (8/14).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 22RS, PCGS# 3946)

    Weight: 5.00 grams

    Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
