Description
Sharply Struck 1921-S Nickel, MS64
1921-S 5C MS64 PCGS. Just over 1.5 million pieces were struck of the 1921-S nickel. It is widely recognized as one of the great absolute as well as strike rarities in the Buffalo series. However, one would never know it to view this coin. The striking details are remarkably sharp on each side, and there are no obvious planchet flaws present as often seen. Magnification reveals the usual heavy metal flow around the outer margins, and each side shows variegated rose and lilac toning. From The Thomas Wolfe Collection, Part One.(#3948) (Registry values: N2998)
