1921-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Lustrous Eye Appeal
1921-S 5C MS65 NGC. The 1921-S Buffalo nickel is a
low-mintage key date of 1.557 million strikes. The surfaces of this
branch mint Gem are fully brilliant with faint overtones of
champagne-gold and lilac on satiny mint luster. Marks are trivial
and only a few tiny fly specks show in the fields. Well-struck with
slight softness on the central devices, elsewhere the details are
sharp and complement the overall exceptional eye appeal. NGC
reports just 10 finer examples (2/26).(Registry values: N2998)From The Larch Tree Collection.
