Description

1921-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Glistening Original Luster

1921-S 5C MS65 PCGS. Ex: D. L. Hansen Collection. From a mintage of 1.5 million pieces, the 1921-S Buffalo nickel is an elusive issue at the MS65 grade level. The present coin is a pastel-toned, well-struck Gem example of this better San Francisco issue, showing exceptionally clean surfaces. Some metal flow appears in the margins as usual, though it hardly affects the devices. Eye appeal is outstanding. Population: 93 in 65 (14 in 65+), 20 finer (5/25).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RU, PCGS# 3948, Greysheet# 3122)

Weight: 5.00 grams

Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
