Description

1921-S Nickel, MS66
Virtually Full Strike

1921-S 5C MS66 NGC. This is a stunning 1921-S Buffalo nickel, and it is tied for the finest that either NGC or PCGS have certified. The strike is bold, including a full split tail and full head and back details on the bison. The 1921-S is one of the S-Mint keys to the Buffalo nickel series, and rarely found with a full strike. This piece nearly qualifies. Both sides have exquisite luster with satin surfaces beneath amazing toning. The obverse is bright orange and light blue with a trace of iridescence. The reverse is blue-green and delicate gold. Census: 3 in 66, 0 finer (8/13).(Registry values: N4719)
