Not Sold Description
1923-S 5C MS64 PCGS. While common in circulated grades, the 1923-S is surprisingly scarce in Mint State. The typical '23-S has poorly defined details, especially on the reverse, but the present specimen exhibits above-average sharpness, although the hair on the bison's head is a trifle soft. Lustrous hazel-gray surfaces are endowed with traces of ice-blue and lilac. A couple of minuscule light green spots are noted. PCGS has certified just 32 pieces finer (8/08).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RW, PCGS# 3950, GSID# 3123)
