Well Struck, Lustrous MS65 1923-S Nickel
1923-S 5C MS65 NGC. Better struck than many of this issue, which is one of the notorious strike rarities from the 1920s. The obverse is almost completely struck up, and the reverse shows just a bit of highpoint softness. Rich, softly frosted surfaces with no mentionable abrasions. Each side shows light golden and lilac toning. An excellent '23-S for a high grade set.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RW, PCGS# 3950, GSID# 3123)
