    Description

    1923-S Nickel, Attractively Toned MS65
A Challenging Grade for This Issue

1923-S 5C MS65 PCGS. The 1923-S is a better date in Gem condition, and above this level it is exceedingly rare. The present coin shows satiny luster and excellent preservation of the exposed upper surfaces of the devices. The fields show metal flowlines, consistent with the late die state that typically accompanies Mint State examples. Pastel rainbow toning appears in delicate concentric hues on each side. Population: 58 in 65 (4 in 65+), 3 finer (3/17).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 22RW, PCGS# 3950)

    Weight: 5.00 grams

    Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
